New corporate identity for Vigour

10 June 2006

Today Vigour Limited launched their new logo and company identity at a function held at the Vigour offices in Christchurch. Many of Vigour’s South Island clients attended this function which coincided with the All Blacks first test victory over Ireland.
The new logo symbol is an adaptation of a southern European prehistoric magical symbol found in the cave of "Los Letreros" in Vélez Blanco. It has been customary to paint this symbol on the front of houses and businesses to protect them from evil and is considered to be a god totem. One interpretation is that this symbol was a ghost that could hold and carry a rainbow in his hands (thus the arch over the head of the man). Another legend describes it to be of a man holding an arc with magical powers of protection against storms and the 'evil eye'.
The history of this symbol represents what Vigor is providing to the Vegetable Growers of New Zealand, where we aim to protect and give energy and strength that will enhance your prosperity.
The new logo will be phased in over the coming months and we look forward to sharing the magical powers with you.
