This week in Southland our main crop carrot trial was harvested with two outstanding candidates showing up. POSEIDON f1 Characteristics Remarkably upright and long-lasting, compact foliage allows good ventilation to limit foliar diseases. Attractive well-filled Nantes. Suitable for field-storage making root length where this is required Highly resistant to Alternaria. PRIAM f1 Characteristics Upright and long-lasting foliage. Maturity well suited to NZ growing season for main crop and field storage. Attractive, well-formed, smooth roots. Maintains root size well for pre-pack or export. High percentage nett yield of strong roots from steady growth.
